The Photo of the Month Contest is a monthly event organized by the Club to invite all members to submit voluntarily their work on a theme established for each contest to a jury formed by all members. The event takes place once per month in the Club room.
Members can participate with their photos by sending their JPG files to Laszlo (typically 72 hours before the date of the event) who will compile and present the contributions anonymously. The pictures are shown first during this meeting (typically taking place a Wednesday evening, please see the calendar for the precise dates and subjects selected for this year) and voted by the members present at the meeting.
The winner’s work is automatically submitted in December to the Photo of The Year contest where again a best picture for the year is chosen following the same procedure.
Photos can typically be submitted in color and B&W, where the original was created by digital or analog means. Minimum resolution for the pictures is ~2000 pixels on the long edge.
Pictures are displayed in full resolution on this web site. Authors who do not wish to expose their work to the copying of malicious visitors, should say this explicitly when submitting the pictures to Laszlo, and then only a 1000px version will be posted on the site.
The themes for 2024 will be announced after the January 2024 General Assembly
