CANON PRO-1000: step by step guide
The club’s computer is equipped with Lightroom. To make your prints, you will first need to switch on and set up the printer, then to download your pictures to Lightroom, and finally to set up the print job via Lightroom.
I. Printer
- Open printer front tray (receiving the prints)

- Open printer sending tray
- At back of printer for Manual Feed (prints only one sheet)

- In middle of printer for Top Feed

Load the paper with the print surface (“face up” side) facing to you, and always vertically.
II Downloading your files
Copy pictures on hard disk
Open Lightroom
- File -> Import photos & videos

- Import

The imported pictures appear at the bottom left of the screen. Select a photo to print by clicking on it.
III. Enter your print settings

Page Setup (bottom left on the screen)

- Printer Setup
- Printer Name, e.g. Canon PRO-1000 series
- Size, e.g. A4
- Source: Manual feed or Top Feed[1]
- Orientation: leave on Landscape
- Properties

- Properties
- Preview before printing: on
- Additional features: in case of B&W prints: B&W Photo Print
- Media type:
- Photo Paper -> Photo Paper Pro Luster, or
- Fine Arts Paper -> Highest Density Fine Art Paper for RAG paper
- Print quality: leave on High
- Printer Paper Size, e.g. A4
- Orientation: leave on Landscape
- Paper Source: Manual Feed or Top feed
- OK
- OK

- Layout Style (arrows menu on right of screen)
- Image Setting
- Rotate to fit
- Stroke border: if you want border around the picture

Note: Zoom to fill might affect the printed part of your photo; double check your choice
- Layout
- Margins: set all to zero
- Cell size: put height & width to the maximum

- Print job
- Media type
- for RAG -> Matte
- for Photo Paper Pro Luster -> Glossy
- Color management: Managed by printer
- Media type

Check all settings before printing: go back to Page Setup

Start Printing

On the printer
- Check paper format and support, then Register
- OK
After finishing your prints, right-click to select all your prints at the bottom left of the screen, and remove them from Lightroom
